Rental Cancelation Policy​
At Lower Salt Co., we get it — plans change. We don’t believe in harsh cancellation fees because, honestly, they’re a bummer. Our goal is to treat every guest fairly while keeping things simple and transparent.
Standard Bookings

72-Hour Notice: Cancellations made at least 72 hours in advance of your scheduled rental are eligible for a full refund to the original payment method.

Less Than 72 Hours: Cancellations made within 72 hours of your rental time are eligible for in-store credit only.
Holiday Weekends

Major Holidays: For high-demand dates such as Memorial Day Weekend, Fourth of July Weekend, and Labor Day Weekend, a minimum 4-day notice is required.

Holiday Cancellations: These bookings are eligible for in-store credit only, even if canceled in advance.
Group Bookings

Groups of 4 or More Items: Reservations that include more than three pieces of equipment (kayaks, paddleboards, etc.) may only be eligible for in-store credit, unless notice is given at least one week prior to the scheduled date.
Trip Protection
We highly recommend adding Peek Protect when booking. It’s an affordable travel insurance option that can cover unexpected cancellations or changes — especially valuable for larger groups or long weekends.
