The Lower Salt River is easily one of the most accessible, user friendly, and beautiful places to kayak or paddle board. This relatively mellow river is perfect for all skill types and allows for a relaxing float down one of Arizona's prettiest rivers. You can park at Pebble Beach Recreation Area and float from there. Enjoy well marked trails, designated parking areas and wildlife. You just might see a wild horse or two! It's best to take two vehicles; one to park at the bottom and one to park at the drop-in spot.

Lake Pleasant is one of Arizona's larger lakes located just North of Phoenix and is another great option for recreational kayaking. This recreation area has a tendency to have higher watercraft traffic during weekends but is still a favorite for its size and access.
